Diving San Pedro

Explore diving San Pedro

Scuba diving in San Pedro, Belize, is a world-class underwater adventure located just off the coast of Ambergris Caye. This tropical paradise sits near the Belize Barrier Reef, the second-largest reef system in the world. Dive sites are minutes from shore and offer vibrant coral gardens, deep walls, swim-throughs, and abundant marine life. Expect to encounter nurse sharks, sea turtles, eagle rays, groupers, and schools of tropical fish. Popular spots like Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley provide unforgettable encounters in clear, warm Caribbean waters. San Pedro is a diver’s haven filled with color, life, and unforgettable beauty.

When to dive San Pedro

The best time to scuba dive in San Pedro, Belize, is during the dry season, from November to May, when the weather is sunny, ocean visibility is crystal-clear (up to 30 meters), and sea conditions are calm. Water temperatures stay warm year-round, averaging 26–29°C. April and May are especially ideal for spotting manta rays and whale sharks. The wet season (June to October) brings occasional rain and tropical storms, but dive conditions can still be good with fewer tourists. For a quieter diving experience, travel in late November or early May, just outside peak travel season.
